| Robert Dwyer commissioned me to do this desktop for him. This aircraft was assigned to him, Capt. Dwyer, USMC, in 1976. Finished with Model Master enamels. All markings, except the Stars & Bars and intake warnings, for the aircraft as well as the stand I drew with Corel Draw 9 and printed with my Alps printer. Engine exhaust areas were done with Bare Metal Foil. The stand was a simple plaque stained and finished with Minwax Polycrylic clear gloss. The badge was applied then several coats of Minwax and then polished. I used my usual method to strengthen the fuselage area where the acrylic rods to slide into the exhaust cones. |
