Republic produced three F-105s (RF) for the recon mission, hence the flat panels on
the nose, but the USAF didn't want them. They were redesignated as JFs and used
by Republic for testing the many modification/upgrades to the Thunderchief. The
JFs usually carried flashy paint schemes during their career. Scrapped Oct. 1975
