This is a factory model that was made by Precise in the '60s. I got it on eBay at a descent price. It
came in silver with the stand but the pylons/weapons were broke or missing and the paint was in
rough shape. I decided to do it over clean and with authentic markings/numbers.  I stripped all the
old paint off, repaired all the molding defects, primed and finished with Plasti-kote #387 Aluminum
enamel.  You cannot apply it to the model from the spray can. It comes out way too heavy. It has to
be sprayed into a jar so it can be applied with an air brush.  1/48 markings are just a bit too big and
don't look right. I made the markings with Corel Draw  9 and printed with my Alps printer.

Precise also made this in the Thunderbird scheme, serial 75782. It's my understanding that it was
specifically made for the Thunderbirds and one was given to each member of the team. I recently
obtained one of them.
